Hot Air Balloon Festival:Sandy’s annual hot air balloon festival launch is Aug. 9 and 10 a.m. at Storm Mountain Park 1000 E. 11400 S.
Balloon Glow will take place Saturday evening from 7–11 p.m. on the Sandy Promenade (10000 S. Centennial Pkwy.) sandy.utah.gov/government/community events
NEW Balloon Fest 5K:
Aug. 10 at 9:45 p.m. on the Sandy Promenade (10000 S. Centennial Pkwy.)
Family Night at the Skate Park:
Family Night is a great opportunity for whole families to enjoy the skate park. Join us on Aug. 12 (Play it Safe theme) and 26, and Sept. 9 (Carnival Party theme) and 23. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 6–9 p.m. at Lone Peak Skate Park, 10140 S. 700 E.
Citizenship in the World is on Aug. 20 and Nov. 19; Citizenship in the Community is on Sept. 17; Citizenship in the Nation is on Oct. 15. Classes are $13 each and run from 4–6 p.m.
Start Smart Classes:
Great program for parent/child involvement to help prepare children ages 3–5 for future participation in youth sports. The cost is $35/session. The next session begins Aug. 20.
Spock’s Skate Camp:
Learn the fundamentals of skateboarding. Helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads required. Session 3 runs Aug. 2, 9, and 16. Camp held Friday from 8:30–10:30 a.m. Camp cost is $65.00 and is for ages 6–14.
Dog & Cat Clinic:
Bring your dog and/or cat to our Clinic. Services available include vaccinations and licensing at a discounted rate. Clinic scheduled at Lone Peak Park, 10140 S. 700 E. South Outdoor Pavilion on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 6–8:30 p.m.
