If you are given notice on your citation or summons to appear in court or are otherwise notified by the citing officer to appear in court, you must appear for an arraignment. Unless you receive a notice in the mail from the court with an new date and time, you must appear at the date and time listed on the citation or summons.
In Sandy, failing to appear for an arraignment will result in the court issuing a warrant of arrest. If the offense cited was a drug related violation or a traffic violation, your driving privileges will also be suspended.
Do not be late for court! If you are late, any of the following are possible: you may not be admitted to that court session; your case may be held to the very end; you may be required to reschedule; an arrest warrant may have already been issued.
